August 2010 Show

8/5/10 - New additions include: Greg Andrews, Carlos Mangual, Joe Leone Jr., Tony Kordos, Jeffrey Breslauer, and Dr. Chuck Stevens. Our new commercial featuring Joel D. Wynkoop is up. Due to unforseen circumstances, Alex Saviuk has had to cancel. Finally, get a discount code for the UP-UP Close Summer Concert Series at the show. See details in the sidebar.

7/28/10 - Amanda Stevens will be joining us once again. Also, support Chuck Dixon's Kickstarter project.

7/1910 - Rob Jones, artist and "Dick Giordano's
assistant" will be bringing original art and pages of Dick's work to benefit the estate. This is a great opportunity to pick up some of Dick's original art at one of the conventions he most enjoyed.

6/11/10 - Our website is now updated for the August show. In addition to the previously announced guests, we'll be joined by Michael Golden, Alex Saviuk, Steve Scott, Renee Witterstaetter, J.S. Earls, Greg Vondruska, Artistic License Studios, Fierce, Comics, Joel D. Wynkoop, and Glenda Finkelstein.

4/22/10 - To give you a sneak peek at our August show, we are expecting artist Greg Horn making his first Tampa appearance, artist Jeremy Dale, and A-Team comics writer Chuck Dixon!

4/22/10 - Sinn Bodhi will be joined at the show by former WWE Diva Stacy "The Kat" Carter!

4/21/10 - New guests: Nicola Cuti (with his new Moonie novel), Rick the Stick webcomic writer/artist Ken Drab, sketch artist Neil Jorge. Plus wrestler Sinn Bodhi (formerly KiZARNY of the WWE). Plus check out our new commercial featuring Joel D. Wynkoop.

3/31/10 - New guests: Sergio Cariello - penciller of Lone Ranger from Dynamite Comics, Indie Sensation Carlos Mangual, and award winning horror writer Andrea Dean Van Scoyoc

3/23/10 - Our friends from Fierce Comics, Creature Productions, and Vater Entertainment are planning to join us again this May.

3/10/10 - We are happy to announce our initial guests for our next show in May: Paul Pelletier, Mark Pennington, Tommy Castillo, Jim Fern, Chuck "Chainsaw" Majewski, Austin Janowsky, Javier Lugo, and Suzanne Grover. Joel D. Wynkoop and Amanda Stevens will join us as well.

1/14/10 - Join us for a special event in February...the Florida State Fair is hosting us for a special show featuring Pat Broderick, Chuck Dixon, Drew Geraci, Nicola Cuti, Amanda Stevens, Joel Wynkoop, Fierce Comics, and more.

November 2009 Show

11/4/09 - The following creators have let us know they are unable to attend Saturday's show. We will reschedule them for future dates: Jim Fern, Dick Giordano, Rob Jones, Scott Reed, and Pat Bastienne.

10/29/09 - Artist Don Hillsman will be joining us for the show and check out our new commercial on our Videos page. Also be sure to check out the announcement by the State Fair in our sidebar.

9/15/09 - We are happy to announce that V for Vendetta artist David Lloyd will be contributing to our Santa Claus Comics book. Also, writer Mitch Hyman will be joining us.

9/3/09 - We are happy to announce that Austin Janowsky will be joining us with his "Stanley the Snowman" book.

8/27/09 - Just added: Billy Tucci, artist of Sgt. Rock: The Lost Battalion

8/26/09 - New additions: Chuck Dixon, Drew Geraci, Dick Giordano, Greg Andrews, Rob Jones, Robert Rhine, Shawn Surface, Pat Bastienne, Page Turner, and Glenda Finkelstein as well as Artistic License Studio, Mighty Nib Original Comic Art, and the Heroes Alliance plus Santa Claus and the debut of "Santa Claus Comics."

8/18/09 - New additions: legendary WWF/WWE wrestler The Genious Lanny Poffo will be joining us as well as comic creators John Beatty, Tommy Castillo, Jim Fern, Alex Saviuk, Gene Gonzalez, Scott Reed, and Tari Owei.

8/12/09 - We're just getting warmed up with announcements for our November show, but just to whet your appetite, we'll have Don Hillsman II, Jesse Starr, Amanda Stevens, Joel D. Wynkoop, Fierce Comics, CGC, Creature Productions, and Vater Entertainment all returning.

7/6/09 - We are happy to announce that Todd Nauck, pencillerof the Amazing Spider-Man #583 story in which Spider-Man meets President Obama, will be a guest at the show.

5/6/09 - Our November show has been moved from November 8th to November 7th, a Saturday.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

FROM PROMOTER TIM GORDON:

This will be my last convention I am turning over the reigns to three very able young men: Mike "And miles to go before I Sleep" Miles, Bill "Rock Me on the Water" Rocker and Steve "the King" Soloman. My reason for stepping down is that I would like to put more time into other projects and interests.
My thanks to those who attended one, many or all of the Tampacons over these ten years, my greatest admiration to artists, pros, dealers and other guests who gave up their Sunday afternoons to make the convention an "event" and my love to the many of you who are friends and have always kept me from falling. I hope to see you August 8th (please) and that you will continue to support the convention in the future.
